Located on the threshold of industrial, residential and historical developments, the site sits right next to the new development of A100 highway.
The study of the site and surrounding reveals a more heterogeneous development happening around. This project could act as a bridge between this otherwise segregated also the population. We imagine it to dissolve the heterogeneity of the surrounding into a homogenous unity of race, culture, ideals and religion by providing a common shared platform where the differences are shared, expressed and celebrated.
The building functions as a link itself to the proposed green belt that runs along the A100 highway on the western part of the building. The permeable ground floor housing urban park gives the public access to everyone who comes. The public access continues vertically along with the building core which acts as an interactive public space which also mingles along with the programs in the building. The common platform could act as a bridge between the people that are inhabiting around this locality of Neuköln district.
